Duncan Aviation begins work on US$70m Utah maintenance facility

Duncan Aviation has begun construction on a new US$70m business aircraft maintenance, modifications and paint complex in Provo, Utah, in the USA. The company will add nearly 275,000ft² of buildings, with a 222,000ft² maintenance and modifications center and a 53,000ft² paint facility.

Gulfstream Aerospace celebrates flight test program milestone

Gulfstream Aerospace has reflected on the first ten flight tests for the Gulfstream G500 and Gulfstream G600 jets. The jets are twin-engine, with the G500 replacing the G450. The G500 has a range of 5,000 nautical miles (9,260km) at Mach 0.85, with nonstop flights connecting distant cities such as Istanbul to Cape Town, Los Angeles to London, and San Francisco to Tokyo. The G600 can fly 4,800 nautical miles (8,890km) at a high-speed cruise of Mach 0.90, and seats up to 19 passengers, with room for nine to sleep.

Honda Aircraft Company expands HondaJet sales to China, Hong Kong and Macau

Honda Aircraft Company is expanding sales of the HondaJet in Greater China with the appointment of Honsan General Aviation as a HondaJet dealer in China. The company will provide sales, service and support for the light jet throughout China, Hong Kong and Macau.

Honsan General Aviation will be based at the new business jet terminal being constructed at Guangzhou Baiyun International Airport, China. The first phase is expected to be completed by the end of this year.

Michimasa Fujino, president and CEO for Honda Aircraft, commented, “The HondaJet has been received with tremendous interest in and around China and we have appointed Honsan General Aviation HondaJet as a dealer in the region.

“With its strong focus on quality and customer service, Honsan General Aviation will be a very valuable addition to our dealer network and will be very successful in this emerging market.”

Honda Aircraft has established a worldwide dealer network to provide service and support for HondaJet customers. The HondaJet dealer network spans territories in North America, South America, Europe and Asia.
