Executive AirShare, the USA’s third largest fractional aircraft provider, has broken ground on a new facility at Wichita’s Col James Jabara Airport that will enable to company to provide greater efficiency for its shareowners.
The company has signed a lease for more than 27,000ft² of hangar space at Jabara Airport and, in addition to hangar renovations, will construct a 7,000ft² office for its staff.
The facility is scheduled to open this autumn and all team members, maintenance control and support staff will be transferred from the current base at Wichita Dwight D Eisenhower National Airport. The Jabara facility will offer 35% more hangar space than its current facility.
“With 95% of our flight activity going in and out of Jabara, this move takes advantage of proximity efficiencies, streamlining the shareowners’ experience,” said Harry Mitchel, Executive AirShare’s chief operating officer.
“All of our Wichita logistics – maintenance work, fleet inspection, scheduling and recordkeeping – will become more effective at Jabara. It just makes sense to have everything in one place and that’s at the home of Wichita’s primary executive and business aviation destination.
