Luxaviation has introduced a set of hygiene and safety standards developed by its FlySkills company and certifications and risk assessment firm Socotec for its own facilities and aircraft, as well as the wider business aviation sector.

The FlySkills Hygiene Certification (FHC) program is available to all FBOs, aircraft operators and owners and enables them to show that defined and accredited hygiene standards have been implemented and are being followed subject to regular compliance auditing.

FlySkills, which is a company within the Luxaviation Group is supervising the adoption of the standards across its operators and FBOs. Luxaviation Group operators and ExecuJet FBOs are the first to gain the new accreditation.

The FlySkills hygiene procedures validated by Socotec will allow any participating FBO, operator or aircraft owner to be listed in the FlySkills’ certification database. This listing will be made available to charter brokers and dispatch departments and related B2C and B2B platforms, enabling them to choose suppliers at any location that meet the hygiene protocols their customers are demanding.

FlySkills-accredited organisations are certified to minimize the risk of exposure of their aircraft owners and charter customers to Covid-19 and other such communicable diseases.

Georges Disewiscourt, managing director of FlySkills says, “FlySkills will not only provide FBOs and aircraft operators with sanitisation procedures but also, through our certification program, allows these businesses to demonstrate and promote their commitment towards excellence for passenger hygiene considerations”.

Aircraft owners will additionally be able to demonstrate the achievement of the highest hygiene standards to their families, passengers, crew and staff through the FHC.

FlySkills is also working with companies to develop an equipment suite to further expand the scope of offering.
