The first week of February marks the beginning of one of the most important fashion events of the year. From February 6 until March 4, fashionistas from across the globe will gather in four cities for a series of four week long events to discover what the biggest names in fashion are planning for the coming 12 months.

BAI has rounded up all the nearest airports for each destination so all you need to worry about is how fashionably late you’re planning to arrive.

New York Fashion Week

On February 6, New York will kick off its Fashion Week. John F Kennedy Airport, LaGuardia Airport and Newark Liberty International Airport offer 24/7 operating hours, Jet-A and 100LL Avagas and FBO facilities.

John F Kennedy Airport and LaGuardia Airport offer fixed-base operations provided by Sheltair Aviation Services. Facilities include de-icing services, ground support, concierge, catering, shuttle service, free wi-fi, conference room, flight planning/weather room, pilots’ lounge.

LaGuardia Airport is the closest to Manhattan with a distance of just 9 miles.  JFK and Newark Liberty International Airport are both 15 miles away.

Immediately following the US event, the London Fashion Week in the UK begins. From February 14 until February 18 all eyes will be on the London fashion scene. If you’re planning on travelling to some of the shows, London has nine airports with facilities to suit everyone.

Heathrow’s operating hours are 24 hours, but night-time restrictions apply from 11:00pm-6:00am. FBO operations are provided by Signature Flight Support. This airport is 16 miles from London.

Gatwick’s operating hours are also 24 hours, and night-time restrictions also apply between 11:00pm-6:00am. FBO operations for this airport are provided by Signature Flight Support and it is 28miles away from the city’s center.

Stansted is 39 miles from London and its operating hours are 24 hours, with night-time restrictions between 11:30pm-6:00am. FBO operations are provided by Harrods Aviation, Fayair, Universal Aviation, XJet London and Inflite Jet Centre.

Luton’s operating hours are 24 hours except between June 1 and September 30 when restrictions between 10:00pm-6:00am apply, but this won’t impact your journey to Fashion Week. FBO operations are provided by Harrods Aviation and Signature Flight Support. This airport is 34 miles away from London.

The closet airport to the capital is London City with a distance of just 8.5 miles. The operating hours are a little more restricted than most others listed here, with Monday-Friday hours being 6:30am-9:30pm; Saturday 6:30am-12:30pm and Sunday 12:30pm-9:30pm. FBO operations are provided by Jet Centre.

Last year, SEA Prime opened a new business and general aviation terminal, Milano Prime. Located in Milano Malpensa airport between Terminal 1 and Terminal 2, the 24/7 terminal covers a surface of 1,400m² and features a 50,000m² apron in addition to a 5,000m² hangar.

The terminal has five lounges that are equipped with a full range of services allowing all passengers of Milano Prime to use the conference centers, limousine service and concierge.

Milan Malpensa is 51 miles from Milan and Milan Linate is just 10 miles away.
