L&L Aviation and Sidney Municipal Airport have been awarded the non-Part 139 Airport of the Year Award during a banquet held in conjunction with the Nebraska Aviation Council’s 24th Annual Nebraska Aviation Symposium at the end on January.

“We’re truly honored,” said Jon Leever, L&L Aviation co-owner. “L&L Aviation took over airport management and maintenance at Sidney Municipal Airport along with its FBO services in July 2015. It’s been a very successful endeavor, but to be recognized for our achievements so soon – within half a year – is a huge testament to our dedicated team that is vested in the aviation community and our local community.”

The award comes shortly after the opening of its new terminal, out of which L&L Aviation operates. The 2,500ft² facility opened to the public on October 17, 2015 and features a spacious public waiting area, a private pilot’s lounge, and a flight planning area.

Avfuel branded L&L Aviation provides its customers with quality service, clean and dry fuel, maintenance and inspection of piston power aircraft, oxygen and nitrogen service, catering, and heated overnight hangar rental.
