IAM Jet Centre has announced the development of a new FBO at Hewanorra International Airport, St Lucia. Set to open in November 2017, the 7,000ft² facility will feature luxury lounge spaces, in-house customs and immigration services, a crew relaxation area, a meeting room, passenger and baggage screening, and wi-fi.

The FBO will welcome business aviation operators, but IAM Jet Center St Lucia will also host premium airline passengers arriving and departing the gateway airport through its bespoke Trident Suite service. It will be the Caribbean company’s fifth location, joining its existing outlets in Montego Bay, Tortola, Grenada, and Barbados – the Barbados FBO recently became the first in the region to be awarded IS-BAH certification.

Thomas Harper, business development manager of IAM Jet Centre, said, “Over the past 27 years, IAM has played a leading role in introducing world class business aviation services to the Caribbean, and our new five-star facility will compliment and enhance St Lucia’s excellent high-end tourism products with our premium service offering.”

Paul Worrell, the company’s group managing director, added, “The elegant new facility will be a valuable addition to St Lucia’s growing resort and marina communities, creating a remarkable arrival and departure experience for high-end visitors staying at the island’s leading hotels and villas, as well as those guests joining luxury super yachts.”
