W Aviation has broken ground on its new FBO complex at Fort Lauderdale Executive Airport in Florida, USA.

The US$13m construction project consists of five 25,000ft² hangars that will be able to accommodate ultra-long-range business jets alongside a 6,5000ft² state-of-the-art executive terminal building and 2,500ft² of office/shop space.

The centrally located FBO facility will include all of the existing services offered by the company, such as customer lounge and lobby, CSR counter, pilot lounge, flight-planning room and on-site car rental, as well as a gym for pilots and crew, and a new café.

The project is expected to be completed in September 2016.
