Atlantic Aviation expands in Connecticut

Atlantic Aviation has expanded its presence at the Igor I. Sikorsky Memorial Airport in Bridgeport, Connecticut by buying Volo Aviation’s hangar and terminal there.

The acquisition adds around 30,000 square feet of hangar space, as well as additional ramp parking to the Atlantic presence at the airport.

Atlantic is expected to invest in the redesign and upgrade the common areas of the facility including the lobby, pilot’s lounge and flight planning area.

“We are happy to add these facilities to our network in the Connecticut and wider New York Market,” said Kurt Schmidt, Senior Regional Vice President.
