Avfuel-branded dealer Hillsboro Aviation has welcomed occupants of its new FBO facility following the completion of Phase Two of the company’s 425,000ft² expansion project at Portland-Hillsboro Airport (KHIO) in Oregon, USA.

Hillsboro Aviation now boasts a contemporary 51,000ft² FBO facility with four acres of ramp space to accommodate transient needs, a 32,000ft² hangar and corporate offices for lease. The expansion also includes two 12,000-gallon fuel tanks – one for Jet A and one to accommodate both 100LL and LL-alternative fuels.

“The new facility opens wide a host of opportunities,” said Max Lyons, Hillsboro Aviation owner and president. “The expansion has given us the space we need to fully accommodate our traffic and provides a luxurious experience to our customers who choose KHIO – an experience we know our clientele expects.”

Hillsboro Aviation will formally welcome stakeholders to its facility during a grand opening event in October 2016.
