Northeast Air has announced plans for a major expansion of its FBO and maintenance organization at Portland International Jetport, Maine, USA, that will provide a state-of-the-art customer experience facility for both passengers and crew in addition to streamlining key services.

The new facility is scheduled to open in Q2 of 2016 and the company is also making investments in new equipment for airline refueling, de-icing services and airline maintenance support.

Henry Laughlin, president at Northeast Air, said, “We are exceptionally proud of our team and their dedication to providing best in class service at the Portland International Jetport. With a long history of support to the aviation community, this investment is intended to solidify our position as one of New England’s leading FBO and maintenance facilities.

“The investment is one of a number we are making at the airport including the recent completion of our new corporate offices. We will invest approximately US$3m in the creation of a completely new passenger facility, which we fully expect to be the most modern and cutting edge private passenger terminal in the New England region.”
