Pazos FBO Services, one of two ground handling and fuel services providers at Luis Muñoz Marin International Airport in San Juan, Puerto Rico, has announced the unveiling of a new US$6m FBO facility at the site.

With a cutting edge design, the building has 12,500ft² of office space, which is more than double Pazos’s previous offering, and the company is also looking to expand its existing hangar and ramp facilities – the ramp space will be closer to 250,000ft² when work is finally completed.

Features of the new FBO include a full service US Customs and Border Protection (CBP) terminal, plus concierge services for crew members and travel clients, a luxury pilot lounge with a snooze room, flight planning work stations, corporate meeting facilities, catering services and a bespoke visitor experience.

A member of the Air Elite Network, all Pazos staff participate in the Ritz-Carlton customer service training program, with customers able to enroll in the network loyalty scheme.

Jose Maldonado, president of Pazos FBO Services, said, “These are exciting times – thanks only to the hard work, loyalty and dedication of every member of the Pazos family, without whom this expansion would not be possible. With them, the sky’s the limit.

“With our US Customs and Border Protection terminal, we will provide customs and immigration clearance to all general, corporate, charter passengers and transient aircraft at the San Juan airport. Also, it will make processing upon arrival at Pazos a hassle-free exercise as travelers continue on to their final destination.”
