Stellar Aviation, an FBO operator with facilities in South Palm Beach, Florida, Wilmington, Delaware, and Springfield, Illinois, has announced that it has been awarded a 50-year lease and development agreement with the Reno Tahoe Airport Authority (RTAA).

The agreement will allow Stellar Aviation to construct a full service FBO and hangar complex at the Reno-Tahoe International Airport located in Reno, Nevada.

To meet the increased demand from all aspects of the general aviation community, Stellar was awarded the right to operate a second FBO in Reno. Stellar’s phased development of over 40 acres will significantly increase the availability of FBO services and hangar space at the growing airport.

Jonathan Miller, president of Stellar Aviation Group, said, “This new location is another strategic cornerstone for our growing FBO network as we look to expand beyond the east coast and midwest by garnering an important foothold in the west. It is with great pleasure that Stellar accepts the opportunity granted by the RTAA to become a strategic ambassador to all RNO’s discerning customers, existing users, and future tenants while introducing them to Stellar’s unparalleled service standards and infrastructure development expertize. We intend to provide services and facilities to not only the myriad of users that call, or want to call, RNO their home base, but also the significant transient operators that require such services at this bustling airport.”

The Reno-Tahoe International Airport has grown its infrastructure and services throughout the last decade.

RTAA’s economic development director, Tina Iftiger said, “We are pleased to welcome Stellar Aviation to the Reno-Tahoe community as they will bring a wealth of operational experience and innovation to our airport. We are excited to have them as a partner to further grow and develop our general and corporate aviation sectors, especially as we begin a much-needed redevelopment and infrastructure expansion project that will transform our service offerings and support for all of our users from the individual users to our business operators all of whom want to invest in the continued growth of our general aviation community. Together, we look forward to a bright and prosperous future for general and corporate aviation at the Reno-Tahoe International Airport”.

“We’re excited to see Stellar’s continued success and expansion with this strategic expansion at KRNO,” said Owen Busch, Senior Vice President EPIC Fuels. “We’re proud to be a trusted supplier to Stellar, an organization that, like EPIC, provides unsurpassed levels of service and satisfaction to its customers. We look forward to supplying fuel to promote Stellar’s s success at KRNO and to further solidifying our existing relationship with them and at every step along the way in their future growth.”
