West Star Aviation rebrands MSP Aero as sixth satellite location

West Star Aviation has announced that MSP Aero will be rebranded as a West Star Aviation satellite location, effective immediately.

MSP Aero is an established FAA Part 145 certified repair station that has been providing avionics, interior, minor paint and aircraft window repair services at Minneapolis–Saint Paul International Airport (KMSP) and surrounding areas since 2009. Colorado-based West Star Aviation acquired MSP Aero in November 2017 and has, until now, operated it as a standalone facility that retained its own independent brand.

The KMSP location will join the existing five-strong network of West Star Satellite locations, providing highly trained and experienced technicians who troubleshoot problems and offer solutions to help clients get back in the air as quickly as possible.

“West Star Aviation’s Satellite network locations are also bases for our expanded AOG mobile repair team (AOG/MRT) services that deliver the West Star experience to our customers wherever they are,” said John Mansfield, West Star Aviation’s manager of satellite operations and mobile repair. “Additionally, we can coordinate any repair or service that cannot be performed in the field, from one of our four full-service facilities.”

“We continue to refine and strengthen our geographic MRO network to support customers’ operational needs, while bringing added value and capabilities throughout the Twin Cities, as well as the Minnesota, Wisconsin, Iowa and both North and South Dakota areas,” said Rodger Renaud, president and COO of West Star Aviation.
