Stratajet launches its booking platform to the USA

Stratajet, the world’s first platform that allows customers to search for, compare and book private jet flights in real time, has gone live in the USA. Already a success in Europe, the service has now extended to allow its users to book private jet flights to and from a range of destinations across North America – adding around 2,500 airfields to its existing database of 2,100 from 44 different European countries.

Launched in April 2016, Stratajet is the creation of former British Armed Forces officer, pilot and computer scientist Jonny Nicol, who personally visited operators all over the USA to ask them to sign up to the platform – he dubbed the tour Operation Mayflower, influenced by his military background. Suitably impressed by how fast and simple Stratajet makes the booking process, many have since come on board.

Nicol said, “Following the success of the platform in Europe, we know that the automization of this old-fashioned industry is paving the way for a wider audience to have access to private jet travel. As such, the launch of the platform into the US market is a huge step in the direction of further eliminating the industry’s inefficiency and wastage, thus improving profitability for the jet operator, lowering costs for passengers and making private aviation more widely available to the mainstream traveler.”
