Metrojet China general manager elected as AsBAA Board of Governor

Aviation service provider Metrojet’s general manager for the China Air Operator’s Certificate, Michael Chen, has been elected to the China Asian Business Aviation Association Board of Governors.

The China Asian Business Aviation Association (AsBAA) is a non-profit organisation representing business and general aviation entities in Asia. It stated aims are to support the advancement and development of the industry and provide a platform for stakeholders to communicate, identify and address key aviation issues in the region.

Chen’s two-year term began earlier this summer and has made him responsible for enhancing the brand awareness of the association in the China aviation industry and together with the International Business Aviation Council (IBAC) assist on enhancing operational safety practices.

Chen said, “AsBAA is a perfect example of private and public partnerships working together – acting as a conduit between the business aviation industry and the Government policy makers. With my previous working experience in Government affairs and my current role within Metrojet, I am confident that I can assist in supporting the future development of the industry in China.”
