Air Culinaire Worldwide has announced the asset purchase of SkyTop Aircraft Catering’s state-of-the-art in-flight catering facility, increasing the company’s capacity and coverage in the New York/New Jersey region in the USA. The new facility will allow Air Culinaire Worldwide to be more responsive when handling the increasing needs for inflight catering in the region and facilitate last-minute orders out of Westchester County Airport.

“I am excited to see Air Culinaire Worldwide expand services for the Westchester County Airport, as this will improve services and logistics for our clients,” said Saverio Mongelli, vice president of sales. “We look forward to engaging with all of SkyTop’s clients in 2016.”

As part of the acquisition, Air Culinaire Worldwide has retained the current SkyTop team in White Plains, New York. Employees of SkyTop will be training with Air Culinaire Worldwide senior kitchen employees and are welcomed as part of the growing Air Culinaire Worldwide team.

“The New York/New Jersey team is eager to come together with the seasoned aviation culinary team at SkyTop to provide even better service to our clients,” said Erick Arce, general manager of Air Culinaire Worldwide New York/New Jersey.

Air Culinaire Worldwide also announced the opening of a new inflight catering facility at San Francisco International Airport in California, taking the number of kitchens to 21, including 17 in the USA.
