Hawker Pacific and Aeromil Pacific have announced that they have entered into a definitive agreement under which Hawker Pacific has acquired Aeromil Pacific for an undisclosed amount.

Aeromil Pacific, established in 1980, is one of the largest privately owned and operated aviation organizations in Australia specializing in new Cessna aircraft sales, pre-owned aircraft sales, aircraft maintenance, parts support, aircraft management, charter services and pilot training.

The addition of Aeromil’s operations to Hawker Pacific creates a regional powerhouse in aircraft sales, aircraft support and aviation services. The combined business will also benefit from an enhanced product portfolio, providing access to the range of Textron products such as Beechcraft, Cessna and Bell Helicopter under one roof.

Hawker Pacific’s CEO, Alan Smith, said, “We are delighted to announce the acquisition of Aeromil Pacific, which will entrench Hawker Pacific as the region’s leading integrated aviation solutions provider.

“The acquisition will significantly strengthen our capabilities in aircraft support and servicing, as well as round out our product portfolio with the addition of Cessna Aircraft Sales, Spares Support and Authorised Citation Service Centre.

“Aeromil’s reputation for quality service and maintenance, their exemplary representation of Cessna in the region and their aircraft management and support services are an ideal strategic fit for our business.

“In addition, I am very pleased that Steve Padgett [Aeromil Pacific’s principal] will be joining Hawker Pacific as deputy chairman, Hawker Pacific Australia. Steve recognizes the importance of placing a high priority on customer service and innovative marketing and will oversee the sales drive of Cessna within Australia and New Zealand, continuing his close relationships with the group going forward.”

Padgett added, “Hawker Pacific’s acquisition of our company is a testament to the tremendous value our team has created over past years. Our companies have a shared commitment to providing innovative and high quality products and exceptional service to customers. I am confident that under the stewardship of Hawker Pacific, aircraft owners and operators will continue to benefit from the personal and dedicated approach our staff have displayed in the past.”

Padgett will continue his positions as Chairman of Alliance Aviation Services, Director and Life Member of the Regional Aviation Association of Australia, Chairman of the Australian Aviation Hall of Fame and a member of the Australian Air Force Cadets (AAFC) National Council.

The acquisition positions Hawker Pacific to capitalize on the substantial growth of aviation services throughout the Asia-Pacific region while boosting the quality of service provided by both organizations.
