Universal and FAM International launch ground transport venture

Universal Weather and Aviation Inc. has formed a new global transportation service joint venture, Universal Private Transport, with its long-time security partner, FAM International. The new independent company combines Universal’s worldwide business aviation trip management and logistical knowledge with FAM’s ground transportation network.

Through Universal Private Transport, users will be able to arrange VIP ground transportation anywhere in the world, and can makes changes by phone, email, SMS or online. Preferences can be managed for receiving confirmations, driver details and passenger updates, and by working in conjunction with Universal Trip Support Services, any last-minute changes to the flight arrangements automatically update those for ground transportation.

Chris Kim, managing director of Universal Private Transport, said, “Unlike a typical car service, Universal Private Transport is operated by experts who understand the challenges of business aviation. We see the total scope of your mission, no matter how many destinations or legs, reducing the numbers of calls, vendors and risk of error. So when things changes, we adjust the entire mission seamlessly.”
