Vertis Aviation has added a fourth aircraft to its African-based portfolio, bringing the total number of aircraft in its fleet to 15.

The Global jet will be based at the company’s new Johannesburg facility, which opened six months ago, and will be registered on the Fortune Air (PTY) Ltd AOC. It can comfortably seat 12 passengers and has an operating range of 5,000 nautical miles.

The addition of the Global to Vertis’ South African mix further strengthens its heavy jet offering in the region. “The growing Vertis customer base is defined by heads of state, ultra-high-net-worth individuals and captains of industry, so we want to be sure we can provide the most suitable aircraft for their needs. The opportunity is immense, which is why we have added this latest aircraft to the fleet,” said Jeffery Emmenis, partner, Vertis Aviation.

The new addition extends the company’s current offering in the region, which already includes a 2015 ultra-long-range Bombardier Global 6000, a medium-range Bombardier Learjet 45, and a Boeing 727VIP.
