The Arnold Companies (TAC) has announced the formation of a new entity to manage upscale private aircraft facilities, beginning at Scottsdale Airport.

The company will operate under the newly formed brand, TAC Private Hangars, providing exclusive hangar and office space with dedicated ground handling services for locally based aircraft tenants, outside the confines of a traditional FBO.

This announcement comes as the company acquires the assets of the 24-year-old Scottsdale aviation company, Gemini Air Group. In addition, Keystone Aviation, a TAC affiliate company, will be providing aircraft management, charter and Part 145 aircraft maintenance from the premises.

“The TAC family is proud to be adding a new airport into our network as we announce this next phase of expansion,” said The Arnold companies chairman and CEO, Greg Arnold. “We are excited to expand the TAC brand to include the exclusive private hangar, office and ground services starting with Scottsdale Airport, operating as TAC Private Hangars.”

On May 1, 2021, TAC Private Hangars and Keystone Aviation picked up the former Gemini Air Group operations in Scottsdale.

“The launch of TAC Private Hangars is an exciting new chapter for our entire organization,” said Joe Gibney, chief operating officer over TAC Private Hangars. “The brand extension under TAC is a strategic opportunity for development as we continue to diversify our services and expand into new markets meeting today’s business aviation demand.”

Keystone Aviation is establishing a second hub for its fleet based in Scottsdale, AZ. Offering a large collection of on-demand charter aircraft from single engine PC 12’s to large cabin Gulfstream jets, the SDL base establishes an additional point of service to existing Keystone Aviation customers and pilots.

Keystone Aviation is factory authorized for Twin Commander, Cirrus aircraft and Garmin, Airtext and Aspen Avionics. Keystone Aviation is a certified Part 145 maintenance repair station with authorizations for Cirrus SR 22 & SF50, Twin Commander, Hawker, Beechjet, King Air, Citation / Citation Jet and Cessna 441 / Caravan.

“Since Keystone Aviation was founded over 25 years ago, we have prided ourselves on the focus, training and high attention to detail for all parts of the aircraft management, charter and maintenance businesses,” said Keystone Aviation chief operating officer, Aaron Fish. “Picking up a second hub in Scottsdale expands our regional footprint south from Salt Lake City in the desert to mountain corridor we fly regularly. With the addition of the Scottsdale location, we can now offer a greater selection of aircraft to get customers where they want, when they want.”

“The name simply states what the new facility and company is about, private hangars, managed by highly trained associates and efficient business practices so tenants can keep their focus on their business. And for flight crews, especially since flying is their business,” said Arnold.
