Private charter booking platform PrivateFly has launched a new integration with ARINCDirect Flight  Operations System (FOS), a flight management solution from Rockwell Collins. The partnership gives charter operators who use FOS the ability to quote instantly to PrivateFly’s global customer base via their existing aircraft scheduling software.

The integration comes through a new API (application programming interface), providing an enhanced link between PrivateFly’s customer-facing platform and the 300+ Part 135 aircraft operators in its network that use FOS to streamline their flight operations.

PrivateFly’s technology offers business aviation customers the ability to search and compare charter pricing from a global network of over 2,500 aircraft operators. Its platform is already integrated with other leading scheduling software providers, but according to the company the integration with FOS is a key milestone for its USA expansion, given the software’s popularity with US aircraft operators.

Adam Twidell, CEO, PrivateFly, commented, “Integrating with FOS is an exciting milestone for PrivateFly’s expansion in the USA. It means we have a compelling offering to PrivateFly’s 300+ US-based operators who use it: the opportunity to quote for our fast-growing pool of US flight requests quickly and easily, from within their existing scheduling software, and without interrupting their operational workflow.

“PrivateFly’s technology-based model is attracting fast-growing interest from US business aviation customers, and this market now represents over 25% of our business. Integration with FOS will accelerate this growth, as it means we can provide even faster charter pricing, from a larger share of our aircraft operator network.”
