Cutter Aviation held a grand opening reception on August 13 for its new FBO terminal at Colorado Springs Municipal Airport in the US mountain state.
Cutter Aviation leased an additional eight acres of land on the west side of the airport, which is now home to the new mountain retreat-themed terminal and a 62,000-gallon (281,857-liter) fuel farm. There is also a 23,000ft² (2,136m²) hangar.

Festivities at the opening event included a log cutting ceremony; a static aircraft display showcasing a Gulfstream 280; tours of the new FBO terminal; refreshments; and speeches from Colorado Springs Mayor John Suthers, director of aviation Greg Phillips, Cutter Colorado Springs general manager Calvin Martin, and Will Cutter.
Since 2006, Cutter has more than doubled its footprint at the airport, including over 9,000ft² (836m²) of FBO and office space with VIP lounge areas, a flight planning center, an executive conference room, on-site car rental, as well as 132,000ft² (12,263m²) of aircraft storage space on 17 acres of leasehold.
