ASL Group to launch regular charter service

Belgium-based aviation services and charter company ASL Group has launched a new executive-level flight service in Europe aimed at large groups of up to 42 who do not want to fly commercially.

The ASL Fly Executive service will provide passengers with an “all-inclusive high quality flight service” and will launch on July 4 with a weekly flight from Brussels to Ibiza. An Antwerp-Innsbruck flight is then planned for the coming winter.

In the future, the service will target specific vacation and business destinations, events, fairs and sports competitions and will preferably use private terminals or small airports. said ASL Group.

Fly Executive will be operated by ASL Private Jet Services’ subsidiary Air Charters Europe (ACE) using its two Embraer ERJ Jets which have a capacity of 30 to 42 seats. ASL Private Jet Services operates a fleet of 35 private jets for flights of up to 12 passengers in Belgium and the Netherlands.

ACE, which was launched in 2018, is aimed at customers such as football teams, corporates, governments, and military agencies and has been “extremely successful” said ASL Group.

The interiors of the ERJ Jets have been upgraded with leather, overhead compartments removed and additional soundproofing added to improve the passenger’s experience.

Philippe Bodson, CEO of ASL Group and Air Charters Europe said, “These are the planes with which we will extend the fleet and which will be used in the new Fly Executive project.

“Fly Executive will be placed somewhere between private charter flights and scheduled aviation. It will be a kind of regular service to which you can subscribe individually with one or more people, always with a unique character. And it can be the departure airport, the terminal, the period, the destination.”

“Traveling by airliner has become uncomfortable and impersonal. The question is, should this really be the case?  We don’t think so. That is why we have developed a new and unusual concept that may turn the aviation industry upside down,” added Bodson.

A drink will be provided before the flight, champagne during the flight with snacks, 25 kg of luggage per person and an “attentive crew” which ensures that safety standards are respected, said ASL Group. A CO2 compensation contribution will also be systematically included in the price of each ticket.
