Business Jet Access, a leading provider of aircraft charter, management, maintenance and pilot services based in Dallas, Texas, has just been awarded the International Standard for Business Aviation Operations (IS-BAO) Stage 3 accreditation. Presented by the International Business Aviation Council (IBAC), this is the organization’s highest level of achievement, involving a rigorous auditing program, examining an operator’s ability to develop and maintain an effective safety management system (SMS).

Business Jet Access is the sister company to Business Jet Center, a Phillips 66 Aviation branded FBO. It currently manages a fleet of 12 aircraft, ranging in size and manufacturer, from Citations and Hawkers to Challenger 300s and a Gulfstream IVSP.

Chris Wright, general manager at Business Jet Access, said, “This is the first time in our company’s history we have reached this goal. This certification affirms that our safety management system (SMS) is sustained and supported by an ongoing improvement process with a positive and proactive safety culture. Now that we have this accreditation under our belt, it does not mean we relax. We will remain committed to industry best practice and continue to enhance our SMS initiatives to ensure we are one of the best and safest operations in the industry.”
