Heron Aviation gains certification for London City Airport

Heron Aviation has gained steep approach approval for London City Airport with its new Falcon 900LX D-AHRT.

Due to the surrounding obstructions and terrain, operators must obtain a special approach procedure approval, certifying that the aircraft and crew are capable to safely operate into and out of London City Airport. With this new approval, D-AHRT is now certified to perform the unique approach.

Martin Helbling, accountable manager of Heron Aviation, said, “With this new authorization, Heron Aviation further expands the capabilities of its in-house charter fleet. When our client requested this approach certification, we immediately mobilized the appropriate resources and reached out to our contacts in the authorities, in both the UK and Germany, in order to obtain this very important approval.

“This is another demonstration of Heron Aviation’s relentless dedication to customer satisfaction, and I’m pleased that charter customers around the globe can benefit from this authorization as well.”
