Jet Aviation has partnered with Amira Air, a Vienna-based aircraft operator, adding a Global Express to its managed fleet in Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA).

The recently refurbished Global Express accommodates 12 passengers and has a maximum range of 10,186 km (5,500 nautical miles).

Under the agreement, Jet Aviation will operate the charter aircraft under Amira Air’s AOC (Aircraft Operator’s Certificate).

“We are very pleased to expand our fleet and offer more choice to charter customers for long-range trips,” said Claudio Peer, senior director of aircraft management and charter sales, EMEA & Asia at Jet Aviation. “As a large cabin aircraft, this Global Express offers great comfort and value to charter customers in Vienna and the region.”

Jet Aviation has also acquired all joint venture shares from its partners in Vienna, making the MRO and FBO operation a fully owned Jet Aviation entity.
