High Flying Hangars has received approval from the City of Denton for a 40-year lease to develop 44 hangars at Denton Enterprise Airport in Texas.
The Albuquerque, New Mexico-based company plans to invest US$21 million in the development, which will provide 110,000 square feet (10,219 square meters) of hangar space. Construction is scheduled to begin before the end of 2025, with hangars available to owners in 2026.
“With over 110,000 square feet of hangar space, the High Flying Hangars development will bring a much-needed resource to our aviation community and support the growth of the Denton economy,” said Gerard Hudspeth, mayor of Denton. “We are thrilled to have them invest in Denton Enterprise Airport.”
The development addresses growing demand for commercial hangars in the Dallas-Fort Worth metropolitan area. According to High Flying Hangars, the facility will accommodate general and business aviation aircraft storage requirements.
Kenny Hinkes, chief executive officer of High Flying Hangars, said the company selected the location to serve expanding aircraft owner needs. “We are pleased to partner with the City of Denton and the team at Denton Enterprise Airport to build our first hangar development in the Dallas-Fort Worth metropolitan market,” said Hinkes.
All hangar sites will include city electricity, water and sewer connections. Additional amenities will vary based on unit size and client requirements.
