Embraer has surpassed 2,000 business jet deliveries with a Praetor 500 handed over to a corporate flight department during a ceremony at its Global Customer Center in Melbourne, Florida.
The Praetor 500 is a midsize jet with an intercontinental range of 3,340 nautical miles (6,186km) carrying four passengers with NBAA IFR Reserves. The aircraft can operate nonstop flights such as Miami to Seattle or Los Angeles to New York, and is the fastest and longest-range model in its class, according to Embraer.
“Delivering our 2,000th business jet is more than just a milestone number. It is a powerful reflection of the strength of our product portfolio, our unwavering commitment to our customers and the dedication of our employees who take pride in building every aircraft,” said Michael Amalfitano, president and CEO of Embraer Executive Jets.
Amalfitano added that both the Praetor 500 and its larger sibling, the Praetor 600, have become aircraft of choice for corporate operators seeking advanced flight deck systems and efficient performance.
The Praetor family incorporates full fly-by-wire technology with active turbulence reduction, a system typically found on larger business jets. Both aircraft are designed for short-runway operations while maintaining long-range performance, enabling access to more airports worldwide.
Embraer said its executive aviation business has maintained an average compound annual growth rate of 14% since the first delivery in 2002. In 2024, nearly one in three small and midsize cabin jets delivered worldwide was a Phenom or Praetor model.
