Bangkok’s Don Muang International Airport has a brand-new FBO facility, courtesy of aviation services provider MJets. The Thai company – which offers charter, management, maintenance and ground handling services – has operated the country’s first and only FBO and private jet terminal at this location since 2010, but has now moved into custom-built premises, investing US$8.6m.

The new FBO features two hangars, totaling almost 52,000ft2, with individual spaces of 21,500ft2 and 30,000ft2. There is a luxurious 3,400ft2 VIP lounge, with private meeting rooms and a separate area for accommodation, on-site customs, immigration and security, crew lounge and rest facilities, plus training/meeting rooms – the largest of which can accommodate 60 people. The new FBO builds on MJets’ success, with the company becoming the first FBO in Southeast Asia to be awarded IS-BAH accreditation last year.

Jaiyavat Navaraj, MJets executive chairman, said, “Southeast Asia is a very important and evolving market for business aviation, and Bangkok is at the center of this growth. For this reason, MJets is committed to the regional development and has invested almost 300m Thai baht [US$8.6m] in this new state-of-the-art facility.”
