Signature Flight Support has opened its state-of-the-art FBO at Mineta San Jose International Airport (SJC), which features 18.5 acres of ramp space and 240,000ft² of hangar space and a 10,000ft² executive terminal.

The LEED designed facility takes advantage of the latest environmentally-friendly technologies and materials such as high efficiency lighting in the hangars. The project was also noted for its high level of construction waste material recycling, of which some 80% will be reused.

“Signature San Jose is stunning and state-of-the-art in every way and is a reflection of Silicon Valley itself. We are immensely proud to become part of the community,” said Maria Sastre, president and COO for Signature Flight Support.

“Our long-term view of business and general aviation is evidenced by this significant investment in the community. We look forward to welcoming business and leisure travelers to Silicon Valley and the entire Bay Area, and we are especially delighted to support travelers attending Super Bowl 50 at Levi’s Stadium.”

Signature Flight Support San Jose has partnered with The Tech Museum of Innovation and will showcase technology exhibits throughout the year. Passengers and crews can also wind down in the Tech Garden, which offers a green space lounge with relaxing seating and shade adjacent to the FBO terminal.
