A huge milestone was reached by Embraer Executive Jets recently, as the company delivered its 1,000th business jet, a mid-size Legacy 500, which was bought by US fractional ownership operator Flexjet. Flexjet is a long-standing customer of Embraer, and had placed an order consisting of both Legacy 450s and 500s; the company also has a Phenom 300 that it had bought previously from Embraer.

Marco Tulio Pellegrini, president and CEO of Embraer, said, “Delivering 1,000 business jets to more than 60 countries in just over a decade reflects our strong ability to listen to our customers and respond to them with innovative solutions for different needs.”

Michael Silvestro, CEO of Flexjet, added, “Embraer’s Legacy mid-sized aircraft are a natural progression for us since they meet a growing demand for jets with larger cabins, longer range capabilities and industry-leading operating economics.”
