Omar A Halawani has been appointed as the new president and CEO of Nexus, the global flight operations company. Concurrently with Halawani’s appointment, Abdullah Al-Sayed, who has served as the president and CEO of Nexus since its inception in 2010, will assume the role of chairman of the company. Al-Sayed was previously the CEO of NetJets Middle East.

“Omar is [an]exceptionally well qualified leader to assume the role of president and CEO,” said Al-Sayed. “He has a proven track record building successful multi-national organizations, exceeding established business goals, and working effectively with both the private and government aviation sectors. The board of directors looks forward to working with him and to continue to build Nexus as a global leader in flight operations services.”
