Jet Aviation is celebrating the 30th anniversary of its MRO and FBO facility in Singapore, the company’s largest hub in the Asia-Pacific region. Established in 1995 as Jet Aviation’s first location in Asia, the site has grown into a key center for maintenance, refurbishment, modification and aircraft services.
The facility was officially launched at the Singapore Airshow in 1996 and has since expanded in line with regional growth in business aviation. “I am incredibly proud to celebrate this milestone in Singapore,” said Jeremie Caillet, president, Jet Aviation. “When we first arrived in 1995, business aviation in the region was in its infancy. Singapore has since developed into an important hub for travel across Asia and beyond. Over the decades, we have evolved our services to support this growth, combining our global expertise with local insight to provide a seamless customer experience.”
In recent years, Jet Aviation Singapore has continued to invest in its capabilities and infrastructure. The site extended FBO services to Changi Airport in 2006, opened a 5,000m² (53,820ft²) maintenance hangar in 2014 and a third 3,850m² (41,440ft²) hangar in 2017. In 2023, the FBO introduced on-site sustainable aviation fuel in partnership with FlyORO, and in late 2024, achieved IS-BAH Stage 3 accreditation.
This year, Jet Aviation Singapore joined the Airbus Corporate Jets Service Center Network as its third facility worldwide and the only one in the Asia-Pacific region. The site also underwent an interior renovation, adding 15 new customer offices and meeting rooms, alongside upgrades to reception and crew lounge areas.
“In the past three decades, we have grown to become a leading provider of MRO and FBO services in APAC, and none of this would have been possible without the passion and dedication of our employees,” said Louis Leong, vice president, MRO operations Asia. “Their commitment to providing safe, seamless and personalized service has made us who we are today. I would like to thank our employees, customers and partners for their ongoing support as we look forward to the future.”
To commemorate its 30th anniversary, Jet Aviation is hosting a series of events throughout October at its Singapore site, bringing together customers, partners and employees.
Jet Aviation is a wholly owned subsidiary of General Dynamics (NYSE: GD), employing more than 4,500 people across 50 locations worldwide. The company’s services include aircraft management, charter, completions, government programs, FBO, maintenance and staffing.
