German business aviation group expands fleet and consolidates business

Germany‘s Air Ambulance specialist and special mission operator FAI rent-a-jet has acquired an additional Learjet 60 SE.

The aircraft, which is FAI’s 12th Learjet 60 will be refurbished by FAI Technik, the company’s MRO division in Nuremberg. The refurbishment will feature an all new interior including VIP leather seating up to eight passengers, high speed internet connectivity and an exterior paint scheme.

The refurbishment marks FAI Technik’s third Learjet 60 refurbishment project and the company anticipates that the aircraft will be available for sale from March 2020.

Meanwhile, the FAI Aviation Group its charter businesses Fly Alpha. FAI will transfer its Premier 1A and King Air 350 aircraft onto FAI´s AOC.

FAI´s Chairman Siegfried Axtmann said, ¨Economically, it makes no sense to operate two German AOCs in parallel, therefore we have taken the decision to give up the second AOC and enrol Fly Alpha´s aircraft into FAI´s fleet which now totals to 25 business jets and one turboprop.̏
