Serbia-based Prince Aviation has renewed its WYVERN Wingman PRO certification, marking the second time the operator has achieved the safety standard.

The certification validates organizational safety culture through WYVERN’s Flight Leader Program evaluation tools. According to WYVERN, Wingman PRO represents a higher safety benchmark than the organization’s Wingman program.

Milica Djurdjevic, safety, compliance and security manager at Prince Aviation, said the company is the first European operator to receive the certification. “We received the Wyvern Level 4 SMS certificate almost three years ago, then we were certified under the Wingman Pro certificate, which we have now successfully renewed,” Djurdjevic said. “We are proud to be the first ones in Europe to receive it.”

According to Prince Aviation, the certification demonstrates that the company operates its safety management system preventively and predictively rather than correctively. The operator anticipates safety risks, sets standards beyond regulatory minimums and prioritizes training for pilots and technical staff.

WYVERN awards Wingman PRO certification to operators demonstrating effectiveness in all Safety Management System areas, addressing human factors and organizational safety culture, and maintaining continuous conformity to international standards through internal audit programs. The certification requires third-party validation through assessment processes and ongoing safety monitoring.

Andrew Day, senior vice president of operations at WYVERN, said the renewal demonstrates commitment to safety and operational practices. “We congratulate Prince Aviation on renewing their Wingman PRO certification; a clear demonstration of their commitment to safety, operational excellence, and proactive aircraft maintenance,” Day said.

Prince Aviation participates in WYVERN’s Flight Leader Program as part of its certification requirements. The program provides continuous safety monitoring and evaluation for certified operators.

The Wingman PRO certification follows Prince Aviation’s earlier achievement of WYVERN Level 4 Safety Management System certification approximately three years prior. The company maintains participation in ongoing safety assessment and monitoring programs.
