Inter airport Europe 2025 will provide free access to its Focus Conference featuring 25 sessions and 45 speakers across three days at Munich Messe from October 7-9.
The conference marks the event’s 25th edition with sessions covering sustainability, technology and innovation, risk management, security and big data, workforce development, intermodal connectivity and airport development. RX Global organizes the event targeting airport operations professionals.
Sessions will address net-zero targets, artificial intelligence optimization, baggage handling solutions, cybersecurity and workforce retention strategies. The program includes practical case studies and operational discussions for airport industry participants.
Syreeta Tranfield, event director, said the conference tackles major industry challenges with aviation experts. “With an impressive line-up of aviation industry experts, together we will be tackling the industry’s major challenges and opportunities,” Tranfield said.
Tuesday sessions include sustainability discussions with Denise Farese, senior aviation consultant at To70, and Tomaso Barilli, sustainability manager at Aeroporto di Bologna. Risk management presentations will feature Laila Odina, chairperson of RIX Riga Airport, addressing geopolitical situation impacts.
Wednesday programming covers enhanced baggage handling with Henk Brandsma, strategic process developer at Royal Schiphol Group, and Adrian Lach, baggage handling system manager at CPK. Intermodal connectivity sessions will include Lutz Wesser, managing director of Munich Airport.
The conference will address inclusion in aviation through sessions with Harvey Matthewson, advocacy manager at Aerobility, and Rakesh Shahu, general manager at Ostrum Tech Limited. Topics cover physical adaptations, technological innovations and staff training for accessibility improvements.
According to organizers, the conference provides insights into automation, digitalization, sustainability, passenger experience and workforce strategies. Attendees will access operational optimization tools and industry networking opportunities.
Inter airport Europe will host an Innovation Theatre on the exhibition floor featuring exhibitor product presentations. Sessions cover baggage screening technology, digital fueling systems and high-performance pavement materials from Formula 1 applications.
