Prince Aviation has secured its first client from India, with SkyJets International selecting the Serbian facility for base maintenance and structural modification work on a Cessna Citation CJ1+. The aircraft arrived at the Southeast European maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) facility this week.
Prince Aviation received a Certificate of Acceptance as a Foreign Maintenance Organization from India’s Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA). The certification authorizes the company to perform base maintenance and structural modifications on Cessna 525/525A aircraft types on the Indian registry.
The aircraft will undergo scheduled ID 10 maintenance and an avionics upgrade to meet Automatic Dependent Surveillance-Broadcast (ADS-B) mandate requirements. Prince Aviation will install Tamarack active winglets, complete an interior refurbishment, and apply exterior paint.
The project combines heavy base maintenance with modifications and cosmetic work. Prince Aviation did not disclose a timeline for completion.
“Our client from India demonstrates that Prince Aviation’s market reach extends far beyond Europe, offering maintenance and modification capabilities to more distant geographical regions as well,” said Đorđe Petrović, chief operating officer of Prince Aviation. “It reflects our company’s ambition and vision to expand our presence in more countries, showing that we do not shy away from challenges. From heavy base maintenance, to Tamarack winglets installation, interior refurbishment and exterior painting, we provide a one-stop shop solution. We are exceptionally proud that we have been entrusted with such a significant project.”
The Indian DGCA certification adds to Prince Aviation’s existing authorizations. The facility holds certificates from Serbian Civil Aviation Directorate (CAD) Part 145, European Union Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) Part 145, Turkish DGCA Part 145, Bosnia and Herzegovina Directorate of Civil Aviation (BHDCA) Part 145 recognition, and San Marino Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) acceptance.
Prince Aviation operates in Southeast Europe and serves customers across multiple regulatory jurisdictions. The company provides maintenance, modification and completion services for business jets.
