Gulfstream has delivered its first G800 business jet following Federal Aviation Administration and European Union Aviation Safety Agency certifications on April 16.
The aircraft was completed at Gulfstream’s Appleton, Wisconsin, USA, facility and represents the manufacturer’s latest ultra-long-range business jet.
The G800 achieved enhanced performance capabilities during certification, with a range of 8,200 nautical miles (15,186km) at its long-range cruise speed of Mach 0.85 and 7,000nm (12,964km) at high-speed cruise of Mach 0.90. The aircraft can fly 8,000nm (14,816km) at Mach 0.87, with maximum operating speed increased to Mach 0.935 from the original Mach 0.925.
“We have seen astounding demand for the G800, and the entire Gulfstream team is excited to begin making deliveries to our customers,” said Mark Burns, president at Gulfstream. “The G800 is entering service with extraordinary program maturity, just like the Gulfstream G700 before it.”
According to Gulfstream, the G800 features a cabin altitude of 2,840ft (866m) when flying at 41,000ft (12,497m), 100% fresh air in the cabin, and a plasma ionization air purification system. The aircraft includes 16 Gulfstream Panoramic Oval Windows and interior configurations with up to four living areas or three living areas with a dedicated crew compartment.
The G800 received the 2025 International Yacht & Aviation Award for Private Jet Design. The aircraft represents Gulfstream’s entry in the ultra-long-range business jet market segment with transcontinental and intercontinental capabilities.
Gulfstream’s Appleton site includes large-cabin completions operations and a custom-designed paint hangar that opened in 2023 with capacity for up to 48 aircraft annually. The facility also houses a Gulfstream Customer Support maintenance, repair and overhaul operation.
The first delivery follows the G800’s development program and certification process. According to Gulfstream, the aircraft offers cabin comfort and operational capabilities for customers requiring long-range business aviation services.
