Pilatus has announced Gogo Galileo as a factory-installed connectivity option for the PC-24, providing global high-speed broadband via the OneWeb low-earth orbit (LEO) satellite network. The system is certified by both the FAA and EASA.
The antenna fairings were designed to minimize drag, with Pilatus saying the installation has a negligible effect on the PC-24’s takeoff performance, climb rate or speed. The system offers high upload and download speeds with low latency suited to video conferencing and cloud-based applications.
Alongside the connectivity upgrade, Pilatus has developed a new in-flight entertainment system in collaboration with Lufthansa Technik. It features a 10in touchscreen with a 3D moving map, four cabin loudspeakers including a subwoofer, mood lighting, USB ports and dedicated media storage.
The PC-24 also now offers an optional large side-facing divan, described as a first in its class. At just under 2m (6.5ft) in length, it converts into a bed during flight and includes integrated storage for pillows and blankets.
