West Star Aviation has opened a satellite maintenance facility at Addison Airport in Texas, its fifth satellite location and first in the Dallas area.
The site features a 40,000sq ft (3,716sq m) hangar and will provide scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, AOG support, avionics installations and upgrades, and inspections up to 12- and 24-month intervals. The operation currently runs during daytime hours, with plans to extend to seven-day coverage.
The facility is managed by Robert Harris, with on-site engineering resources. Harris said: “The Addison hangar footprint, combined with our experienced team and the specialized tools we have invested in, enables us to deliver faster, more comprehensive service, whether it is scheduled maintenance, AOG support or complex upgrades.”
West Star Aviation is headquartered in East Alton, Illinois, and operates primary facilities in East Alton, Grand Junction, Colorado; Chattanooga, Tennessee; Perryville, Missouri; and Statesville, North Carolina, alongside its satellite network. The company employs more than 3,000 people.
