Gulfstream Aerospace has announced its G800 achieved its eighth city-pair speed record on a flight from Phuket, Thailand, to Dubai in 5 hours, 38 minutes.
The flight was completed en route to Dubai Airshow 2025. The record brings the total city-pair speed records for the Gulfstream fleet to more than 760.
Other G800 city-pair speed records include Miami to Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, in 12 hours, 33 minutes and Florence, Italy, to Savannah, Georgia, in 9 hours, 33 minutes. The aircraft received certification in August 2025.
“Setting eight speed records this quickly following its August entry into service is a testament to the capabilities of this aircraft,” said Mark Burns, president at Gulfstream. “We are already seeing interest and demand for the G800 and are pleased to be showcasing it in Dubai this week.”
The G800 is on display in Dubai alongside the Gulfstream G700, which has surpassed 90 city-pair speed records. Recent city-pairs for the G700 include Dubai to Sydney in 12 hours, 50 minutes; Jakarta, Indonesia, to Lagos, Nigeria, in 12 hours, 41 minutes; Abu Dhabi to London in 7 hours, 48 minutes; and Dubai to Hong Kong in 6 hours, 30 minutes.
The Gulfstream G800 can travel 8,200nm (15,186km) at its long-range cruise speed of Mach 0.85 and 7,000nm (12,964km) at its high-speed cruise of Mach 0.90. The G800 features a cabin altitude of 2,840ft (866m) when flying at 41,000ft (12,497m), 100% fresh air in the cabin, a plasma ionization air purification system and 16 Gulfstream Panoramic Oval Windows.
The interior can be configured with up to four living areas or three living areas and a crew compartment. According to Gulfstream, the G800 is the longest-range aircraft in the company’s fleet.
The G700 has a maximum operating speed of Mach 0.935 and a high-speed cruise of Mach 0.90. The aircraft features 20 Gulfstream Panoramic Oval Windows.
Both the G700 and G800 are powered by Rolls-Royce Pearl 700 engines and feature the Gulfstream-designed aerodynamic wing and high-speed winglets. Gulfstream Aerospace is based in Savannah, Georgia.
