Modern Aviation has broken ground on a two-hangar complex at Meacham International Airport (FTW) in Fort Worth, Texas, with completion targeted for the first quarter of 2027.
The development totals approximately 87,150sq ft (8,095sq m) of combined hangar and office space, comprising two 39,200sq ft (3,642sq m) hangars each with a 4,375sq ft (406sq m) attached office. Both hangars are designed to accommodate the largest business jets currently in production.
“We are proud to break ground on this new hangar complex in Fort Worth, which reflects our ongoing commitment to investing in the communities and airports we serve,” said Mark Carmen, president and CEO of Modern Aviation. “This project strengthens our ability to meet growing demand at Meacham International Airport.”
The groundbreaking ceremony on June 3 was attended by Modern Aviation executives, Fort Worth city councilmembers and the city’s aviation director Roger Venables. The project is being built by Peinado Construction.
Modern Aviation operates 19 FBO locations across the US and Puerto Rico.
