Avflight has opened a new 6,000sq ft (557sq m) FBO terminal at Cherry Capital Airport (KTVC) in Traverse City, Michigan, with a ribbon-cutting ceremony held on June 23.
The facility features exposed wood beams, natural finishes, floor-to-ceiling windows, a gas fireplace and an enclosed outdoor patio, designed to reflect the character of Northern Michigan. Amenities include a pilot lounge, private sleep rooms and a conference room.
Guests have access to eight existing hangars capable of accommodating aircraft up to a Gulfstream G700. Avflight said it plans to construct additional private, built-to-suit box hangars for long-term aircraft storage.
“We’re proud to open the doors to a facility that is uniquely Northern Michigan,” said Joe Meszaros, senior vice president of operations at Avflight. “From the design and amenities to the exceptional service our team provides, every detail was thoughtfully considered to create a memorable experience for guests.”
Kevin Klein, director and CEO of Cherry Capital Airport, said: “This new facility represents a significant investment in the future of air service in our region. Avflight has created a welcoming, high-quality experience that reflects the spirit of Northern Michigan.”
Avflight Traverse City is an Avfuel-branded network location. Avflight operates FBOs across North America and Europe.
