Banyan Air Service has announced it will not charge special event fees at its FBO at Fort Lauderdale Executive Airport (FXE) during the 2026 FIFA World Cup, which begins on June 11.
The decision follows a similar announcement by Clay Lacy Aviation, which said it would not apply event surcharges at any of its US FBO locations during the tournament.
“Large-scale international events often lead to temporary pricing adjustments across the industry,” said Jon Tonko, COO of Banyan Air Service. “Our approach is deliberate, to invest in the infrastructure, staffing and planning required to support elevated traffic levels while maintaining the service standards our customers rely on. Choosing not to impose event fees reflects both our operational readiness and our long-term commitment to customer partnership.”
Banyan said it has aligned its operational planning to support increased traffic during the event period. The FBO is located approximately 25 minutes from Hard Rock Stadium, one of the World Cup host venues, and is the sole provider at FXE offering US customs services as part of the Customs Reimbursable Services Program, providing flexibility for international arrivals.
Fort Lauderdale Executive Airport has no commercial airline traffic.
