SEA Prime has reported record traffic growth in the first half of 2026, with 18,200 movements across its Milano Prime facilities and a 15% increase at Linate Prime compared to the same period in 2025.
Italy reached third place in Europe for business aviation traffic over the period, with 5.3% growth, ahead of France and the UK, both of which recorded broadly stable traffic, according to WingX data. Intercontinental routes strengthened significantly, with traffic to the United States growing 39% year on year.
Events drove much of the growth. The Milano Cortina Winter Olympics generated a 40% increase in passengers transiting Milano Prime, Milan Fashion Week saw visitor numbers rise 17.4% and Milan Design Week contributed to a 14% increase in movements at Linate Prime.
Milano Prime terminals also hosted industry events during the period, with Gulfstream, Dassault Aviation, JetFly and Comlux using the facilities for aircraft showcases.
At Malpensa Prime, the VVIP Fast Track service handled more than 3,600 passengers across 70 dedicated flights in the first half, including government delegations, international sports teams and touring artists.
SEA Prime said it is preparing for further traffic around the Monza Formula 1 Grand Prix and Milan Fashion Week in the second half, benefiting from the expansion of its Linate Prime terminal, which was inaugurated in March 2026.
