Ocean Aviation has broken ground on a US$67 million private aviation campus at Miami Executive Airport (TMB), its second South Florida development alongside the recently acquired National Jets FBO at Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport.
The 40-acre development will include up to 400,000sq ft (37,161sq m) of hangar space across communal and private configurations, a terminal, a fuel farm and a 32,000sq ft (2,973sq m) common-use taxi lane and ramp serving US Customs and Border Protection. The project will also relocate the Wings Over Miami Air Museum to a new home at the airport.
Ocean Aviation was established in 2024 with the execution of a 40-year ground lease at TMB. The company expanded in September 2026 with the acquisition of National Jets at Fort Lauderdale, creating a dual-airport network across the Miami-Fort Lauderdale metro.
“Breaking ground at Miami Executive Airport is a defining milestone for our company,” said Romain Grosjean, executive chairman of Ocean Aviation. “It allows us to create a flagship aviation campus built around the needs of aircraft owners, operators and flight departments, and to set a new standard for the FBO experience in South Florida.”
Miami-Dade County mayor Daniella Levine Cava said the project is expected to create approximately 2,900 construction jobs and 250 permanent positions.
