Saxon Air has expanded its helicopter fleet to 12 aircraft, with three more expected to join by April 2026. Five helicopters have joined the fleet since December 2025.
The fleet includes the Leonardo AW109S, AW109 Trekker, AW109SP, AW119Kx and Airbus H125. The latest addition is an AgustaWestland AW109SP (G-ISPM).
Saxon Air holds both rotary and fixed-wing Air Operator Certificates, providing access to helicopter and jet charter markets. The company provides aircraft sales and acquisitions, management and consultation, training support, continuing airworthiness management organisation and technical oversight, and advisory services.
Saxon Air maintains helicopter bases and crew at Denham, Elstree, Oxford, Redhill and Norwich.
Miles Riches, head of rotary sales at Saxon Air Helicopters, said the rotary business is in a phase of growth. “Our rotary business is in the middle of a major phase of growth, with the fleet set to double from seven aircraft at the start of 2025 to fourteen by March 2026,” Riches said.
Riches said the introduction of the AW109S, alongside AW109SPs and Trekkers, strengthens the fleet. “Combined with our single-engine Airbus H125s, which plug a clear gap in the market, gives us a unique and highly flexible offering to our charter customers,” he said.
Saxon Air Helicopters won Helicopter Charter Operator of the Year at The Air Charter Excellence Awards in 2022 and 2023, and was a finalist in 2024 and 2025.
Saxon Air provides helicopter charter and aircraft management services in the United Kingdom.
