Aviation software company Veryon has acquired Polaris Aero, the Scottsdale, Arizona-based provider of safety management solutions for aircraft operators and MROs.
The acquisition adds more than 200 customers and Polaris Aero’s product suite, which includes the VOCUS SMS safety management system, FlightRisk and GroundRisk platforms, to Veryon’s maintenance software portfolio. Polaris Aero has operated since 2007 and recently integrated IS-BAO standards into its VOCUS platform in partnership with IBAC.
The deal combines Polaris Aero’s de-identified data from more than 112,000 safety reports, 32 million FlightRisk assessments and 174 million flight hazards with Veryon’s dataset of over 100 million maintenance events. Veryon said the expanded dataset will enhance its AIRE AI-powered data intelligence platform.

Polaris Aero will continue operating as its own business unit in the short term, with existing products, contracts and support unchanged. A long-term integration plan will be implemented over the coming months.
