FAI Aviation Group has completed its Learjet 60 to 60XR renewal program, replacing all four of its legacy Learjet 60s with the upgraded XR variant. The company showcased its latest Learjet 60XR at AERO Friedrichshafen.
The German operator has also taken delivery of a Bombardier Global 6000, which joined the fleet in February and brings its total business jet fleet to 17. It is the company’s sixth Global Express-family aircraft and forms part of a wider ultra-long-range fleet renewal that will see FAI replace its legacy Global Express BD-700s with Global 6000s. The company is also looking to replace its five Bombardier Challenger 604s with Challenger 605s.
The Global 6000 features a three-zone cabin accommodating up to 14 passengers and offers a non-stop range of 6,000nm (11,112km).
“We are pleased to be showcasing our latest Learjet 60XR, underscoring FAI’s commitment to offering modern, efficient and high-performing aircraft to its charter clients,” said Siegfried Axtmann, group chairman and founder of FAI Aviation Group.
FAI also operates one of the larger air ambulance fleets in the sector, with nine Bombardier aircraft equipped with medical technology and supported by more than 70 part-time physicians, nurses and paramedics. The company’s air ambulance division has recently completed medevac missions from the Middle East to the UK, the US and Europe, while its Dubai-based operation continues to provide medical escort services from the UAE.
FAI Aviation Group is headquartered in Nuremberg, Germany.
